Preparing for Winter and Christmas

Posted by Holly Nelson on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Under: Tip of the Week
The chill is in the air. I love this time of year. Time for sweaters and fires in fireplaces. So, it got me to thinking...and preparing. There are less than 12 weeks until Christmas! Yes, that's right! Have you prepared? I cannot afford to be the "fly by the seat of your pants gal". If anyone wants a decent Christmas or Christmas at all I have to plan. I will soon post on my website pages you can print out to put in your holiday organizers. They will include: name/gift idea checklist, baking checklist, dates to remember during the holidays sheet, catalog orders checklist, online orders checklist, decorating checklist, family traditions, holiday menu plan, recipe sheet, grocery checklist, Christmas card checklist. There is a lot to remember during the holidays!! As soon as I am finish I will publish on my site and post a link on my blog page.

Now, preparing for the winter...with FOOD!!  My hubby told me the other day the weather men predicted a bad winter here. I have started thinking about stocking my freezer to be prepared for anything. And also, preparing for our new arrival. I am making a list of breakfasts, breads, dinners, casseroles, cookies, pies, desserts,etc...Over the next few weeks I will start to slowly stock up on the essentials for my Big Baking Day. In a few weeks I will post my baking plan, baking list, and grocery list. So, if you would like to start preparing for a Big Baking Day with me, send me a link to your site or just send me your list and I will post it with mine!
