Painting ornaments and Parade

Posted by Holly Nelson on Thursday, December 10, 2009 Under: Just Because I said....
Todays Christmas activity is quite simple. We are painting the ornaments that we made the other day.  When we paint our ornaments that we made for the Jesus Tree, I make sure I paint the bible verse that goes with it. Go HERE for the list.

I also wanted to share a few photos with you. Our oven had been broken for over a month. We were finally able to get a new one, well new to us. Last Saturday was our town's Christmas parade. I knew it was going to be very cold, so I homemade Hershey's Hot Cocoa (scroll to the bottom of the link page for the recipe), homemade chocolate chip cookies, and popcorn. Look at the faces on the little guys when they saw the cookies!!

Luke's little face is priceless!

Noah was so excited, too. They haven't seen real homemade chocolate chip cookies in so long, i think they were beside themselves.

Me and my Guys!- (L to R)- Luke, Noah, Ian, Seth, Ryan. Don't let Ian fool you. It was freezing! I am convinced that child does not feel cold. And if you look closely you can see my pregnant belly pooch.
