Crunchy Slaw/Strawberries & Cream(with pictures)

Posted by Holly Nelson on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 Under: Tummy Yummy Recipe of the Week
I was in such a hurry to make the slaw for Easter, that I forgot to take pictures. But, I do have pictures of the Strawberries and Cream. Personally I could sit and eat that all day. Strawberries were on sale for only $.99 at Adli last week! That's why I purchased 5 containers!

Crunchy Slaw
1 bag coleslaw mix
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 c sunflower seeds
1 c slivered almonds
2 packages Ramen noodles, chicken flavor

Dressing:
1 c vegetable oil
1/3 c white vinegar
1/2 c sugar
2 packages ramen noodles seasoning mix, chicken flavor

1. Mix all dressings ingredients. Blend well. Store in fridge. Stir again right before serving
2. Mix slaw ingredients.
3. Just before serving, pour dressing over slaw mix and toss. Then serve!

Strawberries and Cream
2 containers strawberries
1/2 c sugar
cool whip topping

1. Cut strawberries. Rinse and put in a bowl (with lid)
2. Pour sugar over strawberries, then toss.
Store covered in fridge for at least 2 hours.I suggest overnight. The juices and sugar will make a syrup.
3. Pour some strawberries into a bowl and top with cool whip.
* Simple and Yummy!

When you slice the strawberries, put into a colander.

Rinse with water

Pour into a bowl with a lid

Pour sugar on top of strawberries. I may or may not have gone over the 1/2 cup the recipe called for.....

Toss to coast.  And yes, I used the knife so I wouldn't have to get anything else dirty.

Top with cool whip! ENJOY!!  And yes I used a paper plate. My dishwasher was broken, so I wanted to use the least amount of plates that I could last week.
