Chocolate Pancakes

Chocolate Pancakes
3/4 C flour
3 TBSP cocoa
1 TBSP baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 TBSP sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 C milk
2 TBSP butter, melted
1/2 Cup mini chocolate chips
Penzey's Raspberry Enlightenment or powdered sugar or whipped cream(opt)

1. Grease griddle.
2. Sift together flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
3. In a mixing bowl, mix sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Pour in the melted butter.
4. Make a well in the flour, and add the wet milk/egg mixture.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips
6. Cook pancakes on griddle.
7. Cut into heart shapes, save the scraps for snacks.
8. For dessert: top with Raspberry Enlightenment and whipped cream.
9. For breakfast: serve with powdered sugar and syrup


Gather all your ingredients


Mix flour, cocoa, and baking powder


Mix sugar, eggs, milk, and melted butter. Gradually add flour mixture.


With a 1/4 measuring cup, pour batter on griddle. Make sure they are large enough for the cookie cutter.


Then FLIP, when the edges are set and the pancake is bubbly.


Cut a heart shape with a cookie cutter.


VOILA`! For breakfast: top with syrup


For dessert option: sprinkle with powdered sugar or whipped cream(Sadly, I didn't have any!) ~then....


Drizzle with Raspberry Enlightenment...MMMM!!
