In Remembrance...

 May 20th 2010 will forever be etched in my brain. It is also a date many others remember. But, mine is a personal reason. On this date one year ago my cousin, Brandon, along with his fellow officer, Bill Evans,were viciously killed in the line of duty.

Grieving in the Lord's Arms

 On May 20, 2010 my cousin Brandon Paudert was shot and killed during a traffic stop. He was only doing is job as a West Memphis police officer running drug interdiction. This was a tragic event in our lives. We have never had anyone get killed in our family before. I wasn't sure how to handle it. Only the Lord held us and helped us through it. Exactly two weeks later, as I was still grieving and crying everyday, all day over the loss of Brandon, our grandfather was killed in a car accident...

Anyone out there early risers? I'm talking about anyone from self-proclaimed early risers like my dad, who wakes at 3 am! I'm talking about early risers because of other early risers. Like my Luke, who thinks it's perfectly normal to wake at 5 am, wants to get dressed immediately, watch Ben 10, and drink his chocolate milk.

Last month a did a post about a childhood friend of mine's Etsy shop. She made me a blanket. I mean, she made Jack a blanket. Now that Jack is finally here, he is able to use it!!

9 Months & Counting...

I am 37 weeks right now. Not much longer! I can't wait to see my little guy in person. Last weekend I took some cute belly pictures that I wanted to share with you. They may be my last! Well, up until the hospital pictures. Also, I wanted to share some 4-D pictures that we got yesterday at the doctors office. I have more fluid than normal, so the shots came out even more great than normal! All the nurses and people we didn't even know were oohh-ing and aaaw-ing over his chubby little cheeks.

When I went on my mini vacation to Missouri last week, I met a childhood friend for lunch. She made our soon-to-be baby Jack a baby blanket. It was more adorable and cuddly than I thought! I love it, and I can't wait to wrap him in it. We are doing a cowboy/western theme in the nursery. Doesn't Jack Tyler  sound like a cowboy's name?  Please visit her Etsy shop and get one today! I wanted to share my love for cloth diapers. I never thought I would say that. But I did. I never thought I'd go that far back to my country roots, either. Honestly, look at them. Do they look like what your gramma used? They are adorable, aren't they? Even if you refuse to ever do them, look how cute! In the picture are fabric wipes as well. And not all colors I have are there. These are very easy to use. The diaper is in a pocket of the cover. You just pull it out and wash. I will do a "Tip...

The Memphis area got a winter storm Friday. It iced then snowed, then iced again. I have to admit I was skeptical. The kids were elated to be out of school, and I was glad to have them home. It was too wet to have a great time playing in it Friday, yet some boys still ventured out. But the best day was Saturday! We played all day long. We came in for Lunch , and to wake daddy. I received two birthday presents a day early and I am so excited about them so I wanted to share!

Painting ornaments and Parade

Todays Christmas activity is quite simple. We are painting the ornaments that we made the other day.  When we paint our ornaments that we made for the Jesus Tree, I make sure I paint the bible verse that goes with it. Go HERE for the list.

America's Recycle Day!

This Sunday , the 15th, is America's Recycle Day. If you do not recycle already make recycle bins with your kids this weekend. The dollar store has all sizes of containers. You can really fancy and print out labels and laminate, tie with a ribbon for an extra special touch. Teach the kids to throw throw the items in the bins instead of the trash. Most cities have a recycle center that will leave a large bin for you to leave at the street to pick up. If you do not, like me that lives out in th...

 My "baby" turned three last June. Shortly after he finally gave up diapers. I had been trying to train him for a year. I thought it was hopeless! Then suddenly, out of the blue, he decided to be a big boy. Most of my boys have been right at the age of three. With the baby before, Noah, I thought I had actually gotten the potty training thing down! He was trained at barely two and a half. Then Luke comes along to bring me back to reality. Then I know for sure, It is the child not the parent. ...

A family member sent me home this in an email. I think it is perfect for what my site is about. This site is not about having a perfect home! It's about getting your "work" done, to be able to spend quality time with family. Your home doesn't have to be perfect! On this letter it says she spent 8 hours cleaning every weekend! If you do that STOP!!  Family is more important than a perfect home! Have  blessed day!

2 Things I'm excited to Share

I have 2 great things to share with you! Today I had to shop for birthday & baby shower presents. I did so well with my sales, clearance and savings I was able to buy something for the kids while we travel to my parents next week. 
First:  I spent only $30.82 and saved $35.75 !!!!  I had sales and clearance items and a coupon!
Second: I bought a new Adventures In Odyssey, "The Truth Chronicles". I'm so excited to have this! This goes along with the great study of "The Truth Project" from Focus ...
