Holiday Clean Up:
Do one area at a time when you are taking down, packing and putting christmas decor away. Have your husband or children help you bring Christmas boxes* down from the attic.

*With some of your Christmas money, buy red rubbermaid boxes from Wal-Mart. Or With Red contact paper, cover the kids toy boxes to pack Christmas decor. All red boxes to represent "Christmas"!! Keep you attic neat and organized!

1. Tackle one big area at a time.

2. Pack a few items as you go through out your day.
3. Take ornaments of the tree as a family. Listen to music, drink hot cocoa or hot apple cider.
4. Have children gather all the same Christmas decor from around the house.
5. When taking the lights off of the tree: A) wrap the lights around a garden hose reel. B) Individually wrap each strand of lights in a plastic Wal-mart sack.
6. When putting in attic, stack all the boxes together , neatly. As you go through the year putting holiday decor in your attic. Stack neatly and in order of holiday.
  * Get certain colors for each holiday. Ex: Easter- light green, Kids clothing- gray, Valentines- Pink, Summer- Blue, Fall/Halloween- Orange, Christmas- red. If you do not want to spend money on colored rubbermaid boxes, go to the Dollar Store and get colored contact paper every season to cover cardboard boxes. Free cardboard boxes are at liquor stores.
