Organize Your Life, Not Your Stuff

"I just wanted to be a monkey!"

Luke was in the backyard the other morning playing with his brother Seth. I was working on the computer near the open back door.(It's very nice and pleasant here!) I hear Luke let out a loud cry, then it turns into a whine. I know those cries. He's mad about something, or something or someone had hurt him that made him mad. So I scoop up Luke in my arms and ask Seth, "What happened this time?". That seems to be my new phrase because there is ALWAYS something going on! I should probably work on a new one!  Jeff and I are working on building a garage. We are only half way done, and only the metal frame is up. Luke says to me, "I just wanted to be a monkey!". Then he shows me his arm. EEK! It was a large deep gash in his arm. He apparently tried to climb the metal frame to slide down it, but got his arm caught on the end of a screw. Poor baby! But he is a tough little guy, probably because he is the fifth boy. When my friend Tara, who found out she was expecting her fifth boy, asked advice on all boys, I had to say emphatically, "Save and budget for groceries and the ER!". The other day she told me she remembered that advice as she was sitting  in the ER! I called my hubby for advice because he is always getting cut at work. Well, we luckily didn't have to go to the ER(saved $250.00), so we just cleaned and bandaged it. And Luke was off and running to play in a matter of minutes! Oh, what a BOY'S life!
